Isle of Man Government / The Treasury is the only bank note issuing authority in the world to have its bank notes issued on Bradvek plastic (i.e., Tyvek® 919) and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson and Company. Isle of Man S1 is also one of the first plastic banknotes in general (issued in November 1983, withdrawn in 1988).
Isle of Man is not a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but remains a dependency of the British Crown. |
