The following is a complete overview of the Chatham Islands Note Corporation prints. 1st and 2nd issue, released in 2000, have been printed on generic plastic substrate by Timely Marketing & Promotions Limited, Christchurch & Dunedin, New Zealand. 3rd issue, released in 2001, has been printed on TyvekŪ substrate by Chan Wanich Security Printing Company Limited, Thailand. Same-numbered sets of the 1st issue in cardboard folders have been reported. 3rd issue specimen prints have been issued in 1,000 sheets of 14 prints (2x7) of the following composition: 4 prints of $3, 3 prints of $5, 3 prints of $8, 2 prints of $10, and 2 prints of $15. All specimen prints have an S prefix, followed by 4 digits (from S0001 to S1000). Most of the sheets have been cut up. 3rd issue replacement prints feature an asterisk (*) after the serial number digits.
Description of the 1st and 2nd issue: On the front, map of the Chatham Islands at left of the under-print and Chatham Islands Taiko bird at right. Hologram at lower left. The Chatham Islands black robin at right on back. $2: The sea theme is featured on the back: crayfish and the sea. $3: The community theme is featured on the back: the first motor vehicle and the community. $10: The history theme is featured on the back. $15: The land theme is featured on the back: Nikau palm and Chathams' horse power.
