All notes printed by Silba International, Banknote Design & Security Printing, Inc. on DuraNote polymer substrate. Developed in a joint venture between Mobil and Agra, DuraNote is an innovative synthetic bank note with the capability of embedding anti-counterfeiting devices between its substrates.

 

Notes from S1 to S4 measure 152 x 70 mm.

 

The predominant DuraNote design (oil rig on front) has been divided into four different issues. The division into different issues aims to provide a comprehensive listing. The basis for the division, which is discretionary, is the area on the right (obverse) side of the note, where most fundamental changes to the note design occur. These issues are used (comprising 29 different notes):

- plain issue (S1): no clear window (either transparent or semi-transparent);

- maple leaf issue (S2): clear window (either transparent or semi-transparent), maple leaf as a part of the design, however incorporated;

- design issue (S3): clear window (either transparent or semi-transparent), various recognisable designs, such as of animals;

- abstract issue (S4): clear window (either transparent or semi-transparent), abstract patterns of lines and other geometric elements, varying in size and position.

 

Other DuraNote designs use issue numbers S5 and higher.
