Promotional notes

There have been several promotional notes and unadopted bank notes designs made on polymer substrates (such as Tyvek®, Guardian®, or DuraNote) by various printers. Some of the notes are presented below, but many others undoubtedly exist. These notes are highly important pieces of polymer notes history.

The following is a selection of unadopted bank note designs. They were made by security printers for eventual approval of the issuing authorities.

These notes are produced by the security printers to show various security and design features to potential customers (i.e., bank note issuers).

Hybrid notes are essentially paper notes that use a combination of polymer and paper.
