Numismatic issue: A new series of polymer-based sheets with bank notes with face value of ROL 50,000

In pursuit of the initiative of the international monetary authorities to sell to numismatists and all persons interested numismatic items, the National Bank of Romania has offered for sale through its branches a new series of polymer-based sheets with banknotes with face value ROL 50,000.

The special sheets comprise four banknotes with face value ROL 50,000, two placed horizontally and two vertically.

According to international numismatic standards, each sheet shall be accompanied by an authenticity certificate both in Romanian and English bearing serial number and signed by the Governor of the National Bank of Romania and the Chief Cashier. The authenticity certificate is in A4 format and includes the following elements: the name of the issuing bank, number of printed sheets, number of banknotes printed on a sheet, size of the sheet, and serial number of the banknotes on a sheet.

The issue destined for sale both at home and abroad consists of 500 special sheets. The price is ROL 236,000/sheet.
