180 million of 2001-dated notes have been printed by NPA and cca. 300 million notes by BM.
Bars are located on the front of the note, just below the serial number and above the clear window. There are three bar varieties: 2-bar variety, narrow gap 3-bar variety, and wide gap 3-bar variety. Each of the five signature combinations can be found on all three bar varieties.
Each bank note is signed by Raúl Sierra Otero, Chief Cashier (Cajero Principal), and by a Member of the Board of Governors (Junta de Gobierno). Members of the Board of Governors are Guillermo Ortíz Martínez, Governor (Gubernador), and four Deputy Governors (Subgubernador): Jesús Marcos Yacamán, Guillermo Güemez García, Jose Julian Sidaoui Dib, and Everardo Elizondo Almaguer. Therefore, five different signature combinations exist.
Mexico S1 bank notes have also been issued in uncut form: full sheet of 60 notes (6x10) at MXN2,197.00, half sheet of 30 notes (3x10) at MXN1,113.00, 1/3 sheet of 20 notes (2x10) at MXN756.00, and 1/12 sheet of 5 notes (1x5) at MXN220.00. 1/12 sheet of 5 notes has been issued in a folder, others have been issued in a tube.

Benito Juarez (1806-1872), Mexican liberal statesman, a national hero,
one of the Mexico’s greatest policial figures, and President of Mexico
for two terms. He upheld the civil law and opposed the privileges of the
clericals and the army. Mexican Coat of Arms at centre. Back:
Hemiciclo a Juarez, a monument to Benito Juarez, with a backdrop of
stone archways and a resting lion. The monument was sculptured from
white marble from Carrara, Italy by Guillermo de Heredia and inaugurated
by President Porfirio Diaz in 1910, at the 100th anniversary of Mexican
independence.

Spain and a national hero. At the Chilpancingo Congress in 1813, he
presented the 'Sentiments of the Nation', a document, which established
independence, a republican regime, the prohibition of slavery, and
equality for all citizens. In 1814, the Congress promulgated the
