This bank note uses the Varifeye® security feature.
A transparent window is incorporated in the vertical translucent band on the 100 Lats banknote printed in 2007 and features a red semicircle of the Sun on a light background and the lettering "Ls" in four displaced lines on a dark background.

Barons (1835-1923), known as the 'father of the dainas', the Latvian
folk songs. Barons elaborated the classification system of the dainas,
arranged the texts and prepared them for publication; six published
volumes included 217,996 folk songs. At far right, a vertical ornamental
band from the Lielvarde belt motifs. Back: A variety of
