Bank notes

Issued on 09.03.07. The bank note features Optiks™ hybrid technology of De La Rue. Three leaflets of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, describing the new bank note issue: leaflet 1, leaflet 2, leaflet 3.

A new design of this note (without the Queen's portrait) is expected in June 2012; refer to Fiji gets new currency design.

Fiji, 100 Dollars, issued in 2007. Typical Fijian emblems in the clear window. Front: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at right, Fiji Coat of Arms at upper right and an image of a Golden Cowry (Buli Kula) at lower left. Back: A tourism theme is featured with depictions of an island with white sandy beaches, map of the Fiji Islands with the 180° Meridian Line marking the 'dawn of a new day', smiling faces representing Fiji's friendliness, sea flora and fauna, a typical cruise boat for island hopping, and tourist snorkeling. A carved mast-head (Domodomo) at low right and Reserve Bank of Fiji's logo at far right.
