Front: A Roaring Dragon spurting out a flaming ball. This is the third dragon of the nine dragon screen found in Beihai Park, Beijing. An optically variable device showing a red lantern with Chinese characters representing the new millennium at upper right. Back: The building of the China Centenary Altar in Beijing, a key construction marking the advent of the new millennium. Flying Apsaras from the frescoes of the Dunhuang Caves at the top.
