Stane Štraus is one of the world's leading authorities on polymer bank note collecting; he also owns one of the world's finest polymer bank note collections.

He has been interested in polymer bank notes for over a decade. In 2000, he worked as a marketing consultant for Note Printing Australia (NPA) in Craigieburn, Australia. He maintains contacts with central banks and bank note issuing authorities around the world.

He is a co-author of World Polymer Banknotes, an award-winning book that is recognised as a standard reference catalogue on polymer bank notes. The International Association of Currency Affairs awarded the book a runner-up award in the Best New Currency Public Education Program category at the 2007 Currency Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

Stane Štraus continues to expand his knowledge and collection of polymer bank notes, and maintains www.polymernotes.org, the world's leading reference on polymer bank notes. He is a member of the International Bank Note Society (IBNS).
